Just bought this game a week ago but I absolutely love it and absolutely love the lore videos hope you don't run out of it I'm gonna watch them as much as possible lol I should beat the game first but freak it hahaha

So I've been playing NG+, as it's always fun to play a game again with knowledge of the story and notice/understand things you didn't the first time, and I did notice something. In the Eidos 7, right after you defeat the first Alpha and before Lily comes out of the pod, Adam sees the Alpha Core and says to himself: "An Alpha Core...? ... if she were-" and then he says he has something to tell Eve, which Lily interrupts by banging on the pod. Was Adam going to tell Eve his plan right there? Was he thinking "if she were to fuse with me"? Was that the moment he got the idea for his entire plan? He was going to tell Eve something, but we don't know what, and we never find out either. If he was going to tell Eve the truth, did he change his mind because Lily got involved? I'm so curious! He later (when talking to Lily and Eve after rescuing Lily) says "Actually, I did want to say something earlier-" and then he tells them about Xion. So was he going to tell Eve about Xion before Lily interrupted? That doesn't feel like it explains the "if she were-" part, that feels more to do with his overal plan.

And is this the golden path Leto II saw.

That massive structure around the Earth appears to be Mother Sphere essentially abandoning the Earth and creating her own world, while simultaneously acting as a prison for the Naytiba.

I am proud that I understood almost all of this story through my own playthrough and lorebending, even down to Adam being Raphael. But something from this video that I didn't put together was most of the logic of Raven, alongside the fact that Raven attempted to create her *own* Andro-Ney hybrid through Tachy, which obviously failed. I never fully understood what happened to Tachy, but now it makes a lot more sense.

Can anyone confirm that raven was the one who corrupted tachy?. I couldn't find anything in game that said it was her doing but i guess i missed something.

Stellar Blade's story is so much better when you do the side quests and you when you read the logs that are left behind.

Got it Humanity is DEAD & GONE. Biology monsters and a AI Hivemind fight over remains. Omega level potholes on both sides, but like other AI fighting games plot/story doesn't matter! Sex sells.

Thank you for the wonderfull work , you have clarified the narrative and story of the game , the game is raising deep philosophical questions about the definition of HUMAN , and what humans can do, extents they can reach if threatened , really this can be reflected on Nuclear war raging in our real life if superpowers calculations goes wrong .

I feel like the story can be described as "Awfully convenient". Its awfully convenient that: Raphael was spared from Mother Sphere's initial purge. Raphael was the only human that was able to retain his mind. Orcal was saved by a "human" who just so happens to be his creator. Xion is fully powered down and on the brink when Eve gets there while "Adam" could have helped, since he was easily able to get an Hypercell. "Adam" saving Eve was a "burst of emotion", note that he saved her from HIS UNDERLINING. No one noticed the huge Naytiba on top of the Space Elevator, ever. Orcal knowing the Alpha was up there when his eyes were always groundside. Raven's Legacies being Eve's path, which was exactly where each Hypercell was located. Dudes, Eve was manipulated totally and completely. In the "true ending", Eve did everything Adam directed her to. Aside from lore fragments, which were not mentioned by Eve nor Lily, those two never found out who "Adam" was, if they did, I think they would have a very different reaction. As far as I'm concerned, the "True ending" is the "Bad Ending", and there are no "Good" ones to have here. Pick your poison. And Raphael named himself "Adam"? I'm not sure if Shift Up wanted to name it like that to make an analog of "Adam and Eve" or if it would have an in-game explanation. Because if there's a reason in game he chose that name... naming himself after the first man... I feel like we were dealing with someone with a god complex.

I drank the Mother Sphere Kool-Aid and killed Adam the first time. I was confused by the ending. Next day I opened the save and opted to join him (thankfully I didn't start NG+ yet) and got the good ending. I'm a bit perplexed by the "bad" ending and wish it had been explained a bit better. I still really love this game - aside from a lot of the frustrating bosses and level design from Spire 4 to the end.

They really went crazy with the art direction in Umbra

When Neon Dynasty first appeared, I was adverse to it due to the idea of technology being introduced to a game centered around Magic. But as time has gone on, its become one of my favorite settings. Long ago, I was a fan of Shadowrun and I've come to think of it as MTGs take on SR. Also I think they have done a good job of building its unique lore with the spirts, shrines, dragons, and interesting characters like the Wandering Emperor.

As if mankind extended their rule and they are the masters of the universe! Bullshit! There are very Mighty races who could easily destroy us now. The true Rulers of the Laniakea supercluster just plain ignore us as wittle critters while they travel at super light warp speeds and patrol space.

There is no colony, there never was. Not in the way they remember it. It's not a place of peace or life as we know it. It is a cold utilitarian ring surrounding earth for the singular goal of keeping humanity safe. That is Mother spheres programming and that is her only focus. It is already clear, their happiness is not required. It was always strange how they always talk about the colony but are never nostalgic about it. Not even Lilly, who should be nostalgic and a little homesick.

When Eve doesnt take Adam hand, thats the Good and Canon ending. When Lily dies, thats the Bad ending. When Eve takes Adam hand and get lily to 100% (goes to Edios 9 b4 spire 4) thats the Secret ending.

I have read that Brian Herbert found his father's old notes (locked in a safe), which outlined the storyline found in thge remaining 2 books.....& completed the Frank's Dune story of fiction.

So everything in the story is perfect for me and I understand everything expect one thing. After the fusion, Eve now has Adam’s knowledge and stuff. However, it’s Adam I’m a bit confused with. After fusing with Eve, is Adam dead or is he inside of eve kinda? Like tied to her soul or kinda like venom from spider man or better in context the movies.

I really love the story of this game. In pieces and bits I can’t blame people for zoning in on homages or similarities to other media or stories… but when you put the entire puzzle together and see the whole story for what it is you realize its a pretty awesome and unique story all its own, and the biggest tropes are mostly biblical or philosophical.

Your writing, research, references, editing, and delivery are phenomenal. So well done

Man this story is actually really interesting. I played through the whole game and had no idea, because the clunky dialogue and shameful voice acting is so off-putting as to be distracting. What a shame.
